人物:齐宣王、齐缗(min)王、南郭先生、大臣二人、士兵二人、旁白一人、乐队和舞蹈若干人
第一场 大殿上
Long long ago, there was a king named Qi Xuan Wang. He liked listening to Yu very much.
大臣甲：Majesty, our country is so strong. We should have a team to play Yu.
大臣乙：Good idea. I think we can form a team of a hundred people to play for you.
大臣甲：No.Two hundred at least.
齐宣王：Three hundred! To show how powerful my country is.
众人齐（磕头）：Smart king！
南郭My name is Nan Guo. I am lazy never work. I will blow YU for the king. That’s really a good job. I can’t pay YU at all, but I know how to act.
抱着竽见大臣甲（鞠躬）：Good morning！
大臣甲（傲慢的）：Why do you come？
南郭： To play YU，Look!（递上银子）
大臣甲 ： OK. OK. You must be very good at it.…
南郭： Sure! I’m very good at it.
大臣甲：（洋洋得意的）（回转身）Majesty! 300 people are ready. Please check.
齐宣王：（高兴的）Great! Let them play right now.
大臣甲：Music! 奏乐！
齐宣王：（大怒）Who makes this noise?
大臣乙（抓住南郭的脖领）It’s him! He wants to hurt your ears.
齐宣王：Heng! How dare you do that? Kill him!
众人齐：Smart King!
南郭（浑身发抖）：My… my… My king. Undeserved!
大臣甲：You cheat the king. You must die!
齐宣王：Wait. Let’s just listen.
南郭： Smart King! (磕头) Just now I saw a dragon over your head. It means you are
the greatest king! You are long-lived. I was too excited. So I blew loudly!
That’s my best wish for you!
齐宣王：（疑惑的）Really?
南郭： My king.You’re so smart. How dare I cheat you?
齐宣王：That’s good.
南郭：（指着大臣甲）But he, he cheats you! He is so bad to you! He should die!
齐宣王：You’re right. Come on. Kill him!(指着大臣甲)
大臣甲：No, no. let me go. Let me go!...
齐宣王：Mr. Nan Guo is honest. Give him gold!
众人齐：Smart King!
南郭（转身指挥竽队，得意洋洋）Music! 奏乐！
音乐起，南郭回到队中，装腔作势的吹竽。
南郭：My king! You want more people to play Yu? I’ll work on it at once.
齐缗王：No, I don’t like so many people playing. I just like single playing.
南郭： 吃惊的）er… er… Yes, single playing is better. better…. I will ask someone
to play…
齐缗王：No, you can play for me! You are the best, aren’t you?
南郭：Me? I …I … I can’t.
齐缗王：What? You can’t blow Yu?
南郭：（吓的坐在地上）I, I, I blow , blow ….
齐王大怒：damn it!（众人安静）Rubbish! You cheated all of us and my father! Kill
him!
南郭： I am wrong. Let me go. Please, please…
